Who We Are
I'm an Integrative Counsellor who is accredited with the National Counselling Society and the National Hypnotherapy Society and I abide by their Code of Ethics. www.nationalcounsellingsociety.org
My approach is an integrative, multi-model one which includes mostly person-centred and psychodynamic therapy, which may include considering childhood issues and how they could be impacting on current issues. I tailor my approach to each individual and their needs as they develop. I use a combination of therapy approaches to help someone question their negative thought patterns & to make changes that are right for them.
My specialist areas of interest are anxiety & people who have learning disabilities and anxiety. I will support you by providing an environment where your feelings will be respected, without judgement, enabling you to feel listened to and understood. Psychotherapy can help you gain a better understanding of what you are going through, helping you to feel less distressed and more able to see where changes could be made to enhance your wellbeing.
The first session is an assessment to assess your needs and whether we can work together at a reduced price of £20 for up to 50 minutes. All following sessions are £35 for 55 minutes, usually weekly initially. Some concessions are available for students or those on low income. Sessions are usually on the same day at the same time each week, although this can be flexible if needed. I work from the Norwich Wellbeing Centre, 15 Chapelfield East, Norwich, NR2 1SF and there is parking nearby at Chapelfield car park or a Pay and Display car park just behind the Wellbeing Centre. www.norwichwellbeing.com
Cancellations - I prefer to have 24 hours notice for any cancellations by telephone or text message, if possible or a charge may be incurred.
